Roles & Responsibilities
- I will be working with users to provide second-level IT support for hardware, software, desktop and network-related issues.
- This means I will be helping users with problems they are having with their computers and other devices as an IT Support Engineer.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues with desktops or laptops or scanners and other IT peripherals is a part of the job.
- I will be figuring out what is wrong or fixing it so everything works properly again.
- I will also be installing or configuring or maintaining and troubleshooting Windows operating systems and common business applications.
- This means I will be setting up and fixing computer programs so they work correctly.
- When it comes to networks I will be. Resolving connectivity issues, including problems with LAN, Wi-Fi TCP/IP DNS, DHCP and basic routing and switching.
- I will also be doing configuration and troubleshooting of network switches, routers, access points, and other network devices as an IT Support Engineer.
- Sometimes the internet or email will not be working,. I will be troubleshooting these kinds of connectivity-related problems.
- My goal is to get everything working again quickly as possible.
- To make sure everything is running smoothly I will be. Maintaining the IT infrastructure.
- This means I will be keeping an eye on the computer systems and networks to ensure they are working properly.
- When users have problems they will contact me through calls or email or ticketing systems. I will make sure to resolve their issue in a timely manner.
- I will also be keeping track of IT assets, configurations, incidents and resolutions so we have a record of everything.
- From time to time I will be helping with network installations or cabling or device deployment and IT infrastructure projects.
- If i encounter any technical issues that I cannot fix I will escalate them to senior engineers or relevant vendors.
- My main priority is to make sure IT systems or devices and network infrastructure are maintained according to company standards.
- I will also be following IT security policies and best practices while providing support.
- To be considered for this role as an IT Support Engineer, you should have 2–4 years of experience working in the UAE.
- You should also have a diploma or bachelor’s degree in IT Computer Science, Networking or a related field.
Having CCNA or CCNP certification is a plus.
- You should be located in Dubai. Having a UAE driving license is mandatory because you will need to visit sites for work as an Support Engineer.
- Experience: 2–4 years of UAE experience’s required
- Qualification: You should have a diploma or bachelor’s degree in IT Computer Science, Networking or a related field
- Certifications: Having CCNA or CCNP certification is an advantage
- Location: You should be located in Dubai
